The plan was well laid out but there <br />was discussion of the width of the private streets and the spacing between some of the <br />units. <br /> <br />It was moved by Pope and seconded by Edlund that we recommend approval of the preliminary <br />plat for Western Hills No. 5 subject to adding an additional space of 5 feet between <br />buildings on East-West private road to bring the distance to a minimum of 71 feet and <br />subject to referring the plat to the Village Attorney regarding all easements to the <br />property. The buildings would be one story with <br />parking in the center. The Pitney Bowes building would be 12,000 square feet and the <br />one to the west would be 6,000 square feet. Brick would be used on all four sides. <br /> <br />It was moved by Edlund and seconded by Carpenter that we recommend to the council <br />that they approve the request for rezoning from R-I to B..l at 2531 North Snelling <br />Avenue as requested. There would be 80 one bedroom apartments and 70 two bedroom apartments which <br />would rent from $160 to over $200 per month. <br />
