<br />Regular Meeting Roseville Planning Commission <br />Wednesday. April 3. 1968 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br />Members absent: <br />Also present: <br /> <br />Membrez. Anderson. Carpenter. Demos and Remsburg <br />Edlund and Pope <br />Dahlgren and Grauel <br /> <br />It was moved by Demos and seconded by Carpenter that we accept the minutes of the <br />meeting of March 6. 1968. with the addition of "and central air" to what Mrs. June <br />Demos would check regarding air conditioners. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 399-67 Helerud and Bentley rezoning from R-I to R-3A. special use <br />permit and approval of planned unit development at 500 T.H. 36 <br /> <br />It was moved by Remsburg and seconded by Demos that we lay this over until our next <br />meeting in May. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 4)?-~7 Roberts Construction Company rezoning from R-l to R-3 at 1750 <br />Marion Street. <br /> <br />It was moved by Remsburg and seconded by Demos that we lay this over until our next <br />regular meeting in May. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 425-68 Lyons and Kruse request for rezoning from R-l to R-3A and <br />T special use permit for building over 23 units. <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Nordby presented the plans for a 51 unit apartment with 51 garages in the <br />basement. The building would be of the French mansard design. It is placed on the <br />south of the property because of sewer problems. He stated that they would be <br />willing to dedicate 16-1/2 feet for the street and that central air conditioning is <br />being considered. <br /> <br />Mr. George Seaberg. Chairman of the School Board. stated that they are interested in <br />obtaining the property for Alexander Ramsey High School. Dr. Lloyd C. Nielsen. <br />Superintendent of Schools. presented a letter dated April 3. 1968. stating that it <br />is the intent of the School District to acquire the land. The Guide for School Plant <br />Planning: 1966. of the Department of Education of the State of Minnesota. recommends <br />a site size of 40 - 50 acres for senior high schools. Alexander Ramsey is now less <br />than 36 acres. <br /> <br />Mr. William Kruse. 1122 West County Road B-2. stated that when the school took 8 out <br />of his 10 acres they said that they would have no use for the remaining property. He <br />built his new home on the south of County Road B-2 instead of on the north side be- <br />cause of this. <br /> <br />It was moved by Carpenter and seconded by Demos that we recommend to the Council <br />approval of the request for rezoning from R-l to R-3A and approval of the special use <br />permit for building over 23 units. Roll Call: Ayes: ~~mbrez. Carpenter. Demos and <br />Remsburg. Nays: Anderson. <br /> <br />Subject File 426-68 Division of metes and bounds parcel by William H. Kruse at <br />1122 West County Road B-2. <br /> <br />It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Remsburg that we recommend to the Council <br />approval of the request for division of lot as requested. Roll Call: unanimous. <br />
