<br />-3- <br /> <br />It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Remsburg that we recommend to the Council <br />that they approve the request for rezoning from R-l to R-3A and special use permit <br />for planned unit development as requested. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 444-68 <br />r r <br /> <br />R. W. Johnson Properties request for rezoning from 8-1 and 8-2 <br />to R-3A and special use permit and variance to zoning at 1045 <br />West Larpenteur Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr. John Daubney said the property was 300 by 600 feet and was located east of the <br />Lexington Plaza. About 4/5 of the property being zoned B-2 and liS being zoned B-I. <br />These buildings would be of the french mansard design also. There would be 5 structures <br />with a total of 168 units. Of these 84 would be one bedroom units and 84 would be two <br />bedroom units. There would be 230 underground garage spaces and 106 open surface park- <br />ing spaces. <br /> <br />Mr. Nick Lebens required about the setback which is 15 feet. Mr. Pastor spoke in <br />favor of the request. <br /> <br />The members of the Planning Commission were concerned about the variance to density, <br />the traffic problem, and if this was the correct use of this property. After discussion, <br /> <br />It was moved by Carpenter and seconded by Remsburg that we recommend to the council <br />approval of the request for rezoning from B-1 and 8-2 to R-3A, the special use permit <br />for planned unit development, and variance to density. The special use permit and <br />variance to density request subject to compliance with the Engineer's report of April 1, <br />1968. Roll Call: Ayes: Anderson, Carpenter and Remsburg. Nays: Demos and Membrez. <br /> <br />Subject File 4~S;68 Preliminary plat of Willmus Estates No.2. <br /> <br />Subject property is to be divided into l2 lots. Mr. Dick Tippler, 436 Rose Place and <br />Mr. Don Hains, 26lS Cohansey Street, were in favor of having single family homes on the <br />property and Mr. Mains wanted to commend Mr. Willmus for his plan. <br /> <br />It was moved by Demos and seconded by Remsburg that we recommend to the Council that <br />they approve the preliminary plat provided each lot has a back around space and that <br />the setback be 40'. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Mr. Membrez set April 17, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. for a special meeting to take up the <br />Dayton request for rezoning and approval of final plat for Rosedale Center. We will <br />also discuss the air conditioning, renaming of County Roads, 110using Code, and Civic <br />Center. <br /> <br />It was moved by Remsburg and seconded by Demos that we recommend to the Council that <br />they request the Village Engineer to make a study and recommend to the Council regard- <br />ing the possibility of installation of traffic control semaphore at County Road B-2 <br />and Rice. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />There being no further business it was moved by Remsburg and seconded by Carpenter <br />that we adjourn.
