Balderson request for variance to side yard setback at <br />2825 Virginia Avenue <br /> <br />Mr. Balderson stated that he needs this variance in order to build a two car garage on <br />his property. He said there was no objection from the neighbor on the south. He would <br />have about a 12" overhang on his garage. His neighbor on the south has about 36" over- <br />hang. Most people have attached garages in the area with 20 feet between walls and have <br />the 36" overhang. This would give them 7' side yard setbacks. After discussion <br /> <br />It was moved by Demos and seconded by Anderson that we recommend to the Council that they <br />grant the request for a five feet variance to the side yard setback as requested. Roll <br />Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 77 . Proposed ordinance change permitting concrete batch plants as a special <br />use permit in I-I and 1-2 areas. <br /> <br />It was moved by Demos and seconded by Edlund that we recommend to the Council that they <br />deny this proposed ordinance change. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the 70l Program. It was agreed that a joint meeting would be <br />desirable so the Chairman set Monday, July 15, 1968 at 5:00 P.M. as a special meeting <br />subject to the wishes of the Council. <br /> <br />It was moved by Carpenter and seconded by Demos that we recommend to the Council that an <br />ordinance be drawn up changing 39.040 to read "39.040 Restrictions For Protruding Air <br />Conditioners. Air Conditioners can not extend outside the wall of the bUlldlngs uniess <br />archltecturally treated and designed as an integral part of the building". <br />Roll Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />There being no further business it was moved by Remsburg and seconded by Demos that we <br />adjourn.
