<br />-2- <br /> <br />Subject File 467~68 - Ben Huisingh, 1944 Rosedale Drive, request for approval of <br />preliminary plat Rosedale Addition No. 3 <br /> <br />There appeared to be no problems with the property in question so <br /> <br />It was moved by Edlund and seconded by Anderson that we recommend to the Council that <br />they approve the request for approval of preliminary plat subject to the Public Works <br />Director's letter of August 7, 1968. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 468.68 - Eva Mogren, 2824 Lakeview Avenue, request for approval of <br />preliminary plat of Mogren's Division of Government Lot 9 at <br />southeast corner of Lakeview and Orchard Lane. <br /> <br />Mr. Mogren requested the property be divided into 6 lots. He stated that the easement <br />for the sewer would cause problems if he divided it any other way. He said that he <br />gave the easement to the Village. There was some question about the amount of property <br />that he would be willing to dedicate for the streets. Mr. Goldberg stated that the <br />improvements on any streets that abut the proposed plat will have to be borne by the <br />abutting property owners and net at the Village's expense as suggested by Mr. Mogren. <br />The proposed plat leaves Lot #6 with only a twenty foot easement at Lakeview Avenue. <br />After discussion, <br /> <br />It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Carpenter that we recommend to the Council that <br />they deny this request for approval of preliminary plat. Roll Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 410-68 . Warren Brennan, 3090 North Lexington Avenue, request for division <br />of lot located east of Lexington Avenue and south of County Road D. <br /> <br />Mr. John Daubney gave a history of the zonings on this property. It was zoned shopping <br />center or commercial and they were going to put up a nursing home. Now the property <br />is zoned R-3 for apartments. <br /> <br />Mr. Milt Demos, 3019 Churchill, Mr. Sweet, 3111 Churchill, Dr. Prank Bencriscutte, <br />3071 Churchill and June Kenney, 1045 Woodlyn Court, spoke at the hearing. Most of the <br />conversation was on existing problems. It was stated that they were against haphazzard <br />development and Mrs. Kenney doesn't approve of the apartment building, After discussionD <br /> <br />It was moved by Edlund and seconded by Carpenter that we recommend to the Council that <br />they deny this request on the basis of poor planning. Roll Call: Ayes (6), Nays (1) <br />Membrez opposing. <br /> <br />It was moved by Edlund and seconded by Anderson that we recommend to the Council that <br />they suggest that he come in with a planned unit development for this property. Roll <br />Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 41l~68 ~ Referral from Village Council for consideration of street name <br />for old County Road C from Hamline Avenue to Victoria Avenue. <br /> <br />It was moved by Carpenter and seconded by Anderson that we place the petition on file <br />and lay this over for more study. Roll Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />The Chairman was going to look over the budget and discuss contract terms with <br />Mr. Dahlgren. <br /> <br />There being no further business it was moved by Edlund and seconded by Demos that we <br />adjourn.
