<br />-2- <br /> <br />The Recreation Board's motion read: "Seaberg moved, Todd seconded, that the <br />Recreation Board remind the Planning Commission and Council that the property on <br />tile southeast corner of B and Dale is an integral part of the proposed B-Dale <br />Villa Park. Therefore, we follow the recommendation of the Council's 701 Program <br />classifying this property as "Parks" and recommend the rezoning be denied and that <br />the Village acquire the entire area at the earliest possible date". After discussion <br /> <br />It was moved by Remsburg and seconded by Edlund d1at we endorse the recommendation <br />of the Recreation Board's letter of March 4, 1969, that the property be acquired for <br />park purposes. Also, if we cannot acquire the property we recommend that the re- <br />zoning be granted. Roll Call, Ayes - 5, Nays - 0, Anderson abstaining. <br /> <br />Subject File 49~;69 - Ben Freeman rezoning and special use permit at 485 West <br />Larpenteur Avenue. <br /> <br />At the request of the petitioner this was laid over until our next meeting. <br /> <br />Subj~ct ffle 499;~9 - Clara Gribble - preliminary plat, County Road D and Arthur Place <br /> <br />Mr. Curt Nelson stated that the party at the corner didn't want to go along with the <br />plan because if he dedicated 10' for County Road D it would spoil his property. The <br />Planning Commission pointed out that the Village ordinance had been violated when the <br />nortil piece was sold. After discussion <br /> <br />It was moved by Edlund and seconded by Anderson that we recommend to the Council that <br />they deny this request for approval of preliminary plat. Roll Call, Ayes - 4, <br />Nays - 2, Carpenter and Demos opposing. <br /> <br />Subject File SOI-69 - Dayton Development Company request for approval of preliminary <br />plat <br /> <br />It Was moved by Edlund and seconded by Remsburg that we recommend to the Council that <br />they approve the preliminary plat of the Dayton Development Corporation's Rosedale <br />2nd Addition. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File S02-69 - Settercoste, Pete - request for rezoning from B-3 to R-l and <br />variance at 165 South OWasso Boulevard <br /> <br />Mr. Henry Lessman of Backus Builders and Mr. Frankson of Keller Real Estate <br />described the building which would be one half commercial and one half residential. <br />No one appeared in opposition to this request. After discussion <br /> <br />It was moved by Carpenter and seconded by Demos that we recommend to the Council <br />that ~1ey approve the request for rezoning from B-3 to R-I and grant the side yard <br />variance as requested. Roll Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 503-~9 - Peterson-Davis request for rezoning from B-2 to B-3 and <br />special use permit at 63l West Larpenteur Avenue <br /> <br />Mr. Gene Mann stated that they wanted to sell camp type trailers at this location <br />and he needed the rezoning for that purpose. Property is owned by Mr. Peterson who <br />operates the grocery store on the corner. All the people connected with the trailer <br />sales live in Roseville and pay $4,400 a year in taxes now. The trailers are 12' x <br />7' and last year they never had over six trailers on the lot. Mr. Clare Davis, <br />1768 Alta Vista and Robert Denlin, 1736 Alta Vista spoke in favor of the request. <br />The Commission was cOIlcerned about the other types of business that could operate <br />at this corner under the B-3 zoning, and after discussion <br />
