<br />-2- <br /> <br />Mr, Dahlgren indicated that he thought it would have been the purpose of the meeting be- <br />tween the Bristol Company and the residents in the area to try and reach agreement on what <br />would be the best use of the open-space area, Specifically, just how this could be land- <br />scaped and made more of an attractive area and serve as a buffer between the apartments and <br />the residents to the north. It was indicated bx: 30me of the Commission members that the <br />idea of constructing homes around the cuI de sa~non Cleveland Avenue would simply be trans- <br />ferring the problem to these people who would be building there. Other members of the <br />Commission indicated that the reason why the Planning Commission held this matter over one <br />month was 50 that the residents and the developer could reach an agreement and that they <br />felt an ageement had been reached at this point. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Edlund Moved, Pope Seconded, that we recommend that the request by the Bristol Company <br />Inc. for rezoning from R-I to R-3A and special use permit at 3030 North Cleveland Avenue <br />be approved except the north 126 feet which shall be excluded;and subject to the follow- <br />ing conditions: <br />I. Subject to the development plan as submitted which indicates the <br />north 126 feet to remain as an open space area. <br />2. The dedication of l6-1/2 feet on Cleveland Avenue for street right-of-way. <br />3. The applicant also dedicate and construct a suitable cuI de sac on the <br />south end of Wilder Street, <br />4. The filing of a landscape plan to the Village Council which indicates <br />berms, plantings, etc. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Edlund, Pope, Kellett, Eagles, Demos. Joseph Lambert indicated that he did not have any further information to add beyond that <br />submitted in his original application. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />, <br /> <br />Demos asked a question as to why the irregular shape of the lot being divided. Mr. Dahlgren <br />indicated that the lots in the immediate area are in excess of one acre and that his pro- <br />posed division would be in the same proportion as the existing lot, <br /> <br />Mr, Wood, 2250 Acorn Road, requested a better description of the lot being divided and wanted <br />to know if it was the one to the south of the existing Lambert home. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Johnson Moved, Pope Seconded. that we recommend that the reques t of Joseph Lambert for a <br />division of a lot at 2215 North Cleveland Avenue be approved.
