-4-

Nr. Charles Swenson, 2127 Alamdeda, had a question on \.,rhethcr or not a path could be
constructed on this property so that the chi Idren could travel through the property to
go to the school on County Road B.

Hr. Arthur Scheffer, 2141 North Avon, thinks this development is inconsistent with the
area to the south and to the west and to the school property on the north. Therefore, he
is opposed to this project.

~1r. Charles Swenson asked a question as to the rent of the apartment building. The appli-
cant stated that a two bedroom would be in the neighborhood of $225 per month with a one
bedroom in the neighborhood of $200 per month.

The Planning Commission members indicated some concern over this rezoning as to whether
or not they were just going to rezone the property and that this development as presented
would not in effect be planned but some other use permitted in the B-3 zone would be
permitted. There was some discussion as to whether or not a special use permit could be
granted that would tie the applicant down to a particular use of this property. It was
also stated that perhaps a B-2 zoning would be the best use since a B-2 zone would permit
everything the applicant is proposing and at the same time not allow as many uses as the
B-3 zone.

Recommendation

Edlund Moved, Eagles Seconded, that we recommend that the request by Mort Huber for
rezoning from R-I and R-2 to R-3 and from B-1 to B-3 at 700 West County Road B be tabl~d
for one month, Roll Call, Ayes: Pope, Kellett, Demos, Eagles, Edlund, Hembrez.
