<br />.4. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Pope Moved and Mr. Edlund Seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of the pre= <br />liminary plat for Michels Rosedale Addition, 2135 West Roselawn. Roll Call, Ayes: Kellett <br />Demos, Pope, Edlund, Eagles and Membrez. Nays: Johnson. <br /> <br />Planning File 603-70 - Michels Construction Company rezoning from R-l to R.2 at 2123 West <br />Roselawn <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Michels indicated that the two lots should be rezoned R.2 since the property is unsuit <br />able for the development of single family dwellings for the following reasons: <br /> <br />1. Radio tower across the street <br />2. The high traffic volume on Roselawn <br /> <br />The double bungelows would have a value of approximately $75,000 each. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mrs. ~tiley was fearful that if the lots were rezoned that the two lots on Westwood Circle <br />bordering Roselawn would also be rezoned to R-2. <br /> <br />Mr. HOlberg, Mrs. Richardson and Mr. Nichols indicated they were assured by the realtors <br />that the area would remain R-I. ~~. Dick Larson desired that the area remain as a single <br />family neighborhood. Mr. Johnson stated that there seemed to be sufficient opposition fro <br />the neighbors to warrant denial. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />~fr. Pope Moved and Mr. Johnson Seconded, that the Commission recommend denial of the rezon <br />ing from R-l to R-2 at 2135 West Roselawn. Roll Call, Ayes: Kellett, Johnson, Demos, Po <br />Edlund, Eagles and Membrez. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 604-70 - Midwest Federal Savings & Loan Association, 1875 ToH. 36, special <br />use permit on site plan <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Foster Dunwiddie of Miller-Dunwiddie Architects, indicated that several meetings had been <br />held with the Village staff and planner and that everything was in order. The structure ~ <br />be the same as the other Midwest Federal branches in the metropolitan area. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Pope stated that the plan looked fine and felt it would be a fine addition for the <br />Village of Roseville. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />~fr. Johnson Moved and Mrs. Demos Seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of the <br />special use permit on site plan at 1875 T.H. 36. Roll Call, Ayes: Kellett, Johnson, Deme <br />Pope, Edlund, Eagles and Membrez. Nays: None, <br />
