<br />Roseville Planning Commission Minutes <br />December 1, 1971 <br /> <br />The December 1, 1971, regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission was <br />called to order by Chairman Membrez at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: Demos, Pope, Jomson and Membrez. Kellett and Edlund arrived <br />at 7:35 P.M. <br /> <br />Members absent: <br /> <br />Others present: <br /> <br />Eagles <br /> <br />Councilman Albert Grauel, Public Works Director Shennan Goldberg, <br />and Administrative Assistant Steve North <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Kellett moved and Mr. Edlund seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of November 3, 1971, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Kellett, Demos, Edlund and <br />Membrez. Nays: None. Abstentions: Pope and Jomsan. <br /> <br />Planning File 647.71 - Victor Vik request for variance on frontage of platted lot <br />at 2787 North Oxford Street <br /> <br />Presentatioo <br /> <br />Mr. Louis Valm:>nd who proposes to construct a house on the property in question <br />indicated that the revised plans provide for the house to face on Oxford Street with <br />a tuck-tmder garage. Variances would be required for total lot area and front foot- <br />age since the lot is 8,044 sq. ft. with 68 feet of frontage. No variances are re. <br />quired for yard setback requirements. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. John Meyer, 2776 North Oxford, expressed concern over drainage in the area. <br />He indicated that there currently exists a natural drainage flow in the area of the <br />property in question. Mr. Meyer was concerned that if a home were developed 011 the <br />property that the water would backup into the area of his home. ' <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos moved and Mr. Jomsoo seconded, that the Commission reconmend approval <br />of Victor Vik's request for variance to lot area and front footage at 2787 North <br />Oxford Street, subject to the condition that the Village staff assure that no water <br />problem develops in the area because of the construction of the proposed house. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Kellett, Demos, Pope, Jomsan, Edl1.md and Membrez. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 650.71 - Viola Kloskin preliminary plat "Vi's Lakeshore" at 515 South <br />Owasso Boulevard <br /> <br />Mr. Jom Daubney, representing Mrs. Kloskin, presented a revised plat which consisted <br />of four lots, three of which face on Lake Owasso and one which borders on the new <br />Heinel Drive on the south portion of the property. He indicated that several alter- <br />natives for the development of the property had been explored but that the one being <br />proposed was felt to be the best. The three lakeshore lots do not have access to the <br />dedicated street; however, it was felt that the proposal of having one common easement <br />drive rather than three separate drives to the homes 00 the shore was more appropriate. <br />The one access drive with comroon easement anxmg all the land owners would be main. <br />tained by the landowners and would be written into the sales agreement. <br />
