<br />~4= <br /> <br />Mr. Stanger, 599 Transit was concerned about what happens when the present owner <br />moves. <br /> <br />Mr. Pope indicated tilat the new zoning would go with the property not with the <br />owner, and enumerated the potential uses in a B-I zoned <br /> <br />Mrs 0 Odin, tile adjacent neighbor to the north was concerned about drainage in <br />tile area. <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos stated that once the rezoning was granted anything could be constructed <br />on the property in place of the proposed beauty shop. <br /> <br />Mr. Jay Carpenter of Ban Con, indicated that the house would blend into the <br />neighborhood and \vould not have any detrimental effect. <br /> <br />Mr 0 Otto indicated that he simply did not like the idea of this development. <br />Mro Vern Johnson felt that this was a spot rezoning in a residential area, and <br />therefore, was opposed to the application 0 Mro George Johnson indicated that he <br />agreed it would be a spot rezoning. <br /> <br />Mrs 0 Demos indicated that she had eveI)' reason to believe that the beauty shop would <br />be a successful business. Unfortunately, this success would be detrimental to the <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />Mr 0 Pope was concerned about what could happen on the property in the future if the <br />rezoning was granted 0 <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos Moved and Mr. Go Johnson Seconded, that the Commis s ion recommend denial <br />of Gunnar Pettersen's request for rezoning from R-l to B=l and variance at 2410 <br />North Dale Streeto Roll Call, Ayes; Demos, Kellett, Go John-son, Vo Johnson and <br />Pope. Nays: None 0 <br /> <br />Planning File 660-71 = Review of Ordinance Relating to Day Care Centers <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos !\10ved and Mr. Kellett Seconded, tilat the review of ordinance relating to <br />Day Care Centers be laid over until tile next regular Commission meeting. Roll Call, <br />Ayes: Demos, Kellett, G. Johnson, Vo Jolmson and Pope. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Vo Johnson Moved and Mr. Kellett Seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of December I, 1971, be approved wi th the following amendment: <br /> <br />Planning File 650-71 = Recommendation: 00 o add the following 0 o. 6. that lot 4 <br />must be capable of siting a house and meet all setbacks required by Village Codeo <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Demos, Kellett, Vo Johnson and Popeo Nays: None. <br />Abstentions: G. Johnson. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos Moved and Mr. V. Johnson Seconded, that the meeting be adjourned at <br />9:30 PoM. Roll Call, Ayes: Demos, Kellett, G.
