She indicated that she has found no opposition from the neighbors <br />to this proposal. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos inquired if consideration had been given to the development of a triplex <br />on the property. <br /> <br />Mrs. Matkaiti indicated that the neighbors were not agreeable to such a develop- <br />ment, that they preferred to have double homes. <br /> <br />Mr. Membrez indicated that he would support the proposal. <br /> <br />Reconunendation <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson moved and Mr. Membrez seconded that the Conunission recommend approval <br />of Anthony Matkaiti's request for rezoning from R-I to R-2, division of a lot and <br />variance to lot depth and size at 595 Sandhurst, with the condition that payment of <br />assessments be made for storm sewer and water. Roll Call, Ayes: Membrez, Demos, <br />Eagles, Kellett, G. Johnson, V. Johnson and Pope. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Plarming File 699 - Roland Fleck preliminary plat "Rocca Townhouses" at 3085 Old <br />Highway 8 <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />My. Dan Schlenker and Mr. Jim Holmes appeared on behalf of the applicant. <br /> <br />Mr. Holmes indicated that they are proposing to plat the existing townhouse develop- <br />ment for purposes of selling the townhouses. He indicated that they plan to improve <br />and upgrade the exterior of the buildings as part of their total plan. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Vern Johnson was concerned that if the plat was approved, there was no assurance <br />that the upgrading of the exterior of the buildings would occur. He encouraged the <br />applicant to provide the Council with evidence as to their intention to complete <br />such an improvement. <br /> <br />Reconunendation <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson moved and Mr. Eagles seconded, that the Conunission recommend approval <br />of Roland Fleck's preliminary plat "Rocca Townhouses" at 3085 Old Highway 8. Johnson and Pope. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Plarming File 660 - Review of Ordinance relating to Day Care Centers <br /> <br />Mr. Eagles Moved and Mrs. Demos seconded, that the review of ordinance relating to <br />Day Care Centers be laid over until the next regular Conunission meeting. Roll Call, <br />Ayes: Membrez, Demos, Eagles, Kellett, G. Johnson, V. Johnson and Pope. Nays: <br />None. <br />
