<br />Rosevil1e Planning Commission Minutes <br />Wednesday, May 2, 1973 <br /> <br />The May 2, 1973, regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission was called to order <br />by Chairman Pope at 7: 30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br />Members absent: <br />Others present: <br /> <br />V. Johnson, Membrez, Demos~ Eagles,Kellett, G. Johnson and Pope. <br />None <br />Councilman Albert Grauel, Midwest Planning representative J1m Utt1ey, <br />Banister Short Elliott Hendrickson representative Don Christopherson <br />and Administrative Assistant Steve North <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson moved and Mrs. Demos seconded~ that the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of April 4, 1973, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: V. Johnson, Membrez, Demos, G. Jolmson <br />and Pope. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 753 - Earl Adams request for variance to side yard setback at 397 West <br />Brooks <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Adams indicated that he proposes to construct a carport adj acent to his garage to <br />house his boat. The required side yard setback is a minimum of 10 feet. The carport <br />would extend to within seven feet of his side yard property line, <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mrs. Demos expressed concern about granting variances for the purpose of constructing <br />storage facilities for boats, campers and other recreational type vehicles. She felt that <br />if this variance were approved that the Commission would be faced with other variance <br />applications for the purpose of constructing similar storage facilities. <br /> <br />Mr. G. Jolmson expressed concern about granting variances for purposes of storing <br />recreational vehicles and boats. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Membrez moved and Mr. V. Johnson seconded, that the Commission reconmend approval <br />of Earl Adams request for variance to side yard setback at 397 West Brooks. Roll Call ~ <br />Ayes: V. Johnson, Membrez, Kellett and Pope, Nays: Demos, Eagles and G. Jolmson. <br /> <br />Planning File 745 - Ti1sen Construction Company request for division of fifteen (15) <br />lots on Aglen Street from COtmty Road C-2 to Judith <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Tilsen of Tilsen Construction Company indicated that they propose to create 15 <br />lots on the new extension of Aglen Street between Judith and County Road C-2. All the <br />lots would be single family residential zoning. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Membrez moved and Mrs. Demos seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Tilsen Construction Company's request for division of 15 lots on Aglen Street from <br />County Road C-2 to Judith with the condition that 15 feet of additional right-of-way <br />be dedicated on Oxford Street at 2794 Oxford Street, Roll Call, Ayes: V. Jolmson, <br />Membrez, Demos, Eagles, Kellett~ G. Johnson and Pope, Nays: None. <br />
