<br />-3- <br /> <br />Mr. Miller replied that there would be" He stated that the size would be 4 feet by <br />8 feet, <br /> <br />Mr, Adolph Seedy, 1875 North Oxford, expressed his opposition to the rezoning 0 <br /> <br />Harriet Alexander, 1871 North Lexington, commented that she would never have bought <br />her home in the area if she had known that there would be a sign across the street or <br />that there would be increased traffic coming and going to an office building 0 <br /> <br />Mr, Cameron Anderson presented a petition signed by citizens in the neighborhood opposing <br />the re zoning 0 <br /> <br />Florence Reicker, 1869 North Oxford, stated that the rezoning would downgrade the <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />Charlie Haggley, 1160 Surmner Street. indicated that some of the properties in the <br />neighborhood have a restrictIon on the deed which prohibits the property from being <br />used for anything other than single family, He felt that if commercial rezonings were <br />granted in the area that it would decrease the values of the other homes and since some <br />of them could not sell for connnercial purposes, that it would be an extreme hardship on <br />those property owners, <br /> <br />ML Tom Goodrich, 1115 Summer Street, indicated that since the bank was constructed there <br />has been increased traffic on Su:rrnner Street, and he was sure that more commercializatIon <br />would only serve to increase the traffic further. He expressed his opposition to the <br />rezoning, <br /> <br />Mr. Grauel stated that he could perhaps view this application more favorably if he knew <br />that the existing building would be remov~d and if he could see what the proposed new <br />building would be like, He stated that he was not concerned about the little bit of <br />increased traffic that the chiropractic clinic would generate, <br /> <br />Mr, Kellett stated he was opposed to the rezoning because it would mean further encroach <br />ment of connnercial zoning into a residential neighborhood, <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Kellett moved and MY, Grauel seconded, that the Commission recommend denial of <br />ML Miller's request for rezoning from R-l to B-> 1 at 1880 North Lexington Avenue 0 <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Membrez, Durgin, Grauel, Kellett and Pope, Nays: None, <br /> <br />Planning File 832 - Chris Christea request for division of lot at 1201 Oakcrest Avenue <br /> <br />Mrs c Christea indicated that a port ion of her lot had been filled in 19680 She now <br />desires to divide the lot so that she can sell that new lot for the construction of a <br />home, <br /> <br />ML Membrez indicated that he felt It was a reasonable request. <br />Mrs, Oliver, 2561 North Dunlap~ expressed her opposition to any more filling of the pond, <br /> <br />Mr, Kirk, 2567 North Dunlap, stated that he was concerned about the ecology of the pond, <br />
