<br />- 2. <br /> <br />PlannIng File 849 ~ Fotomat Corporation request for variance to sIde yard setback <br />at 2765 North Ham1ine Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />My, Gary Mannnen, representing Fotomat Corporation, indicated that his firm presently <br />has two of their Fotomat Stores located in Roseville, There are 33 in the Twin City <br />area He stated that they are requesting a variance, to the side yard setback re~ <br />qultement of 30 feet ~ which would permit them to construct their building to within 12 <br />feet of the property line, He indicated that if the Fotomat building were moved further <br />from the property line that it would be getting very close to the underground tanks <br />which are used by the gas station on the site, <br /> <br />DIScussIon <br /> <br />Mr. Membet2 corrrnented thct perhaps the applicant could use colors other than the bright <br />blue and yellow for the extenor of the building, <br /> <br />Mr, Mamrnen indicated that was the standard color scheme and they preferred to use it for <br />identi ty purposes <br /> <br />MIe Grauel stated he thought the color of the building should conform with the existing <br />gas statlon on the sIte which is blue and grey/brown, <br /> <br />Mr Kellett commented that he thought the applicant should have a broader range of color <br />choIces. <br /> <br />MI. Mammen stated he would be will1ng to use brick on the exterior of the building <br />Itself but very much wanted to continue with the standard yellow rooL <br /> <br />RecommendatIOn <br /> <br />Mr Membrez moved and ML Ge. Johnson seconded, that the Commission reconnnend approval <br />of Fotomat Corporation's request for variance to side yard setback at 2765 Hamline Avec <br />with the condition that the colors of the exterior of the building conform with the <br />extenor colors of the existing gas station, <br /> <br />ML G. Johnson moved and My. Kellett seconded, that the motion be amended to read that <br />the Commlssion recommend approval of Fotomat Corporation's request for variance to side <br />yard setback at 2765 Hamline Avenue with the condition that the exterior of the buildIng <br />shall utilize a brick to match that of the existing service station and that the <br />standard Fotomat yellow roof may be used, Roll Call on the amendmenL Ayes: G, Johnson, <br />Kellett. Membrez, Durgin, Cushing and GraueL Nays: None, <br /> <br />Roll Call on the motIon as amended: Ayes: G, Johnson, Kellett, Membrez, Durgin, <br />Cushing and Grauel Nays: None, <br /> <br />PlannIng File 850 <br /> <br />Yoava Klucsar request for rezoning from R~2 to Bee 3 and special use <br />permit at 2599 North Lexington Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mrc David Sellergren, Attorney representing ML Klucsar, indIcated that ML Klucsar is <br />seeking a rezoning to B3 and a special use permit for a mobile home court on the remain- <br />der of his property located west of the existing mobile home court, Mr, Klucsar plans <br />to improve the mobile home court an0 increase the size of the lots in the court, <br />
