<br />Rosevil1e Planning COrJmission Minutes <br />Wednesday, Augu.st 6, 1975 <br /> <br />The August 6, 1975 regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Corrcnission was called to <br />order by Chairman Grauel at 7:30 P.H. <br /> <br />Members present: G. Jolmson, V. Jolmson, Kellett, Rukavina, Mastel, Cushing and <br />Grauel. <br /> <br />Members absent: None <br /> <br />Staff present: Howard Dahlgren, Terry Kraner and Steve North <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson moved and Mr. Rukavina seconded, that the minutes of the regular meetIng <br />of July 2, 1975, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: G. Johnson, V, Jolmson, Kellett, <br />Rukavina, Hastel, Cushing and Grauel. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 906 - Robert Schulze request for variance to sign setback at 2109 North <br />Snelling Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Schulze stated that he had cormntll1icated with the Color Tile Corporation regarding <br />the possibility of locating the Sound of ~msic sign on the same pylon as the Color Tile <br />Sign. He stated that Color Tile had approved the placement of the Sound of Husk sign <br />on top of the Color Tile pylon. Therefore, the request for variance to sign setback <br />would not be required. tbwever, l1e thought that a variance to sign height and size <br />might be required. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren commented that the placement of the Sound of ~msic sign on the existlng <br />pylon was a good idea. He indicated that Mr. Schulze should verify whether aT not a <br />variance to height and size would be required, and if it were that he should apply <br />for the necessary variances. Mr. Dahlgren suggested that since the setback variance <br />was no longer required that ~~. Schulze may desire to ivithdraw his requestc <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson inquired that if the request were withdrm'ffi could the application fee <br />be reimbursed. He stated that it was at the suggestion of the Planning CommisslOn that <br />the applicants sign be placed on the existing pylon. <br /> <br />Mr. North indicated that lUlder normal circumstances the fee would not be reimbursed <br />because the expenses of publication and mailing of notices had already been incuned, <br />however, because the possible withdrawal and potential new application for a different <br />variance may occur at the suggestion at the Planning Conmission that the CommiSSlOn may <br />desire to recommend to the Council that the fee be reimbursed. Mr. Schulze requested <br />that his application for variance to sign setback be withdrawn. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina moved and Mr. V. Johnson seconded, that the Commission recommend that t.1],e <br />request of Mr. Robert Schulze to withdraw his application for variance to sign setback <br />at 2109 Snelling Avenue be approved and further recommend that the $50 application fee <br />be reimbursed. Roll Call, Ayes: G. Johnson, V, Johnson, Kellett, Rukavina, ~~stel, <br />Cushing and Grauel. Nays: None. <br />
