Mr. Dahlgren suggested that the Cormnission could remove the possibility of loss of the cattails. etc. by recommending approval of the plat subject to the dedication of the pond to the City. Therefore. the City would be the fee owner and would control the pond. Mr. Kellett indicated that he felt it was unfair to Mr. Sweeney to suggest that the pond be dedicated to the City. Recormnendation Mr. G. Johnson moved and Mr. Kellett seconded. that the Comrn.ission recormnend approval of James Sweeneyt s request for preliminary plat "Sweeney's Southview Heights" at the 1700 Block of Alameda. Mr. V. Jolmson moved and Mr. Grauel Seconded. that the motion be amended to read that the Cormnission recormnends that the City Council investigate the possible purchase of Mr. Sweeney's property for park purposes and that if the property is not purchased for park land that the Cormnission recommend approval of James Sweeney's request for preliminary plat "Sweeney Southview Heights" at the 1700 block of Alameda with the condition that the pond area be dedicated to the City of Rosevilleo Roll Call on amendment: Ayes: V.
