-9- Planning File 945 - Ban-Con, Inc. request for rezoning from R-6 and B-I to R-I and B-2 and preliminary plat "Hillsborough #4" at 2293 Rice Street Presentation Mr. Hans Haugen, Ban-Con, Inc, , indicated that they propose to rezone a major portion of the present R-6 zoned property to R-l for the construction of single family homeso It is also proposed to dedicate approximately an acre of land to the City for park. The presently zoned B-1 property on Rice Street and a small portion of the R-6 would be rezoned to B-2 for the construction of probably two restaurants, although My, Haugen was not certain at this time. He stated at present he had no specific plans for the B~2 propertyo Discussion Mr, Dahlgren corronented he felt it was reasonable to rezone the property to B-2 although there was not a specific site plan for the property. He corronented that access to the B-2 property from Woodbridge and Minnesota was a good idea. Recommendation Mr. G. Johnson moved and Mr. Vo Johnson seconded, that the Corronission recorronend approval of Ban-Con, Inco's request for rezoning from R-6 and B-1 to R-l and B-2 and preliminary plat "Hillsborough #4" at 2293 Rice Street~ Roll Call, Ayes: ~stel, Cushing, Go Johnson, V. Johnson, Kellett, Rukavina and GraueL\ Nays: None. Mr. V. Johnson moved and Mr. Rukavina'seconded, that the Corronlssion recorronend that the City Council initiate the policy of sending public hearing notices for all Planning applications to neighboring communities when an application is for a parcel of property bordering that corrmunity.
