<br />-8- <br /> <br />Mr, Dahlgren indicated that another possible way to aide in controlling the parking <br />would be to require the tenants to rent one of the indoor parking spaces when renting <br />an apartment 0 The tenants now tend to rent the spaces during the winter but not during <br />the summer, <br /> <br />Mr, London indicated that at another of their apartment complexes they are trying a new <br />method for renting the indoor spaces by making it more attractive to rent on an annual <br />baS1S rather than on a monthly basis, <br /> <br />Mr, Grauel commented he understood the residents in the area were having problems since <br />the apartJrent was constructed. He stated that Mrs. Eng has been before the Cotnlcil and <br />Planning Commission on several occasions and that the :Management of the apartment has <br />indicated in the past that they will look into it but that nothing seems to happen. He <br />saw no reason why the parking and moving problems would not be eliminated. He did express <br />concern about the aesthetics of having a cyclone fence on the property, <br /> <br />Mrs, Eng stated that she didn't see any way to control the problem other than with a <br />fence, <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />MTc Kellett moved and Mrs. Cushing seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Rosewood Village apartments request for amended special use permit at 1690 Highway 36 with <br />the condition that a 4 foot high fence with no gates be constructed from the southeast <br />corner of the Rosewood Village apartment property. The fence to be setback from Laurie <br />Road behind the existing landscaping. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Simons, Cushing, G. <br />Johnson, Kellett and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Other Items <br /> <br />Mre Simons requested that the Commission members receive copies of the site plan, <br />landscaping plan, grading plan, etc. prior to the Commission meeting. It was agreed that <br />Mr, Dahlgren would request that the applicants submit these items on 8~ x 11 sheets and <br />that he would include them in his Planning Report. <br /> <br />MTc Simons inquired if there could be standards developed for the size of landscaping <br />material to be used in new developments. <br /> <br />Mr.. Dahlgyen 1ndica ted that he wasn't aware of any comrmmi ties that include size of <br />materials in their ordinances. Hbwever, he indicated that he would develop a list of <br />minimum sizes which could be given to developers. It was decided that Mr. Dahlgren <br />would prepare such a list, <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />MYc Kellett moved and Mr, V. Johnson seconded, that the meeting be adjourned at <br />1:00 AcMo Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Simons, Cushing, G. Johnson, Kellett and V. Johnson. <br />Nays: None 0 <br />
