<br />Roseville Planning Corrunission Hinutes <br />Wednesday, September 1, 1976 <br /> <br />The September 1, 1976, regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission was called <br />to order by Chairman V, Johnson at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br />Members absent: <br />Others present: <br /> <br />Simons, Cushing, G. Johnson, Kellett, Rukavina, Mastel and Vo Johnson. <br />None. <br />Council liaison Albert Grauel, Howard Dahlgren, Terry Kramer and <br />Steve North <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />My. Rukavina moved and Mro G. Johnson seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of August 4, 197A, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Simons, G. Johnson, Kellett, Rukavina <br />and Mas tel 0 Nays: None 0 Abs tain: Cushing and V. Johnson. <br /> <br />Planning File 995 ~ Steak & Ale request for special use permit and division of lot at <br />1887 West Highway 360 <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Wyman Williams, property development manager for Steak & Ale, indicated they propose to <br />construct a restaurant 0 He stated that Steak & Ale presently has a restaurant in <br />Bloomington and is constructing one in St. Louis Park. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson inquired if the restaurant would be compatible with the other development <br />in the area, <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren responded that Mr. John Bureau, owner of the property, had earlier discussed <br />the possibility of fast food restaurants in this area. The City had encouraged him to <br />consider a clustering of the restaurants with parking around the perimeter. However, <br />Mr, Bureau later agreed to place sit-down type restaurants in the area. He is following <br />through on this agreement with the application of the Steak & Ale Restaurant. <br /> <br />Mr, Dahlgren also indicated that the City staff is meeting with the app li can t regarding <br />the number of seats which would be permitted in the restaurant, <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Kellett moved and Mr. Rukavina seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Steak & Ale's request for special use permit and division of lot at 1887 West Highway 360 <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Simons, Cushing, G, Johnson, Kellett, Rukavina, Mastel and Vo Johnson. <br />Nays: None, <br /> <br />Planning File 1003 - Harry Kath request for preliminary plat "Kath Subdivision" and <br />special use permit at 2425 Rice Street <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr, North indicated that Mr. Kath has requested to withdraw his application for preliminary <br />plat and also requested that his application for special use permit be continued until the <br />October Planning Commission meeting. <br />
