-2- Planning File 1032 - Jarres Trapp request for variance to sign height at 2211 County Road C~2 Presentation Mr. Trapp indicated that he proposes to construct a pylon sign on his truck wash property that would be 44' high. He also indicated that he proposes to keep a 57' x 6' sign located on the east face of the building and that he pro- poses to place a 3 i X 20 i sign on the south face of the building 0 Discussion Mr. Trapp's application for variance indicates that he was seeking a variance only to sign height fran the permitted 25 i to the proposed 44'. The published notice for the application, therefore, indicated only a variance to sign height. Mr. Trapp now also proposes that the pylon sign be 172 sq. fto in size and only 100 sq. ft. is permitted. After discussion it was decided that rather than consider only the request for variance to sign height that the application be continued and a new notice would be published including both the requests for variance to sign height and size. Mr. Trapp indicated at the conclusion of the hearing that he would be willing to reduce the 57' x 6 i sign on the east face of the building so that it would conform to the permitted ma.xirm.1m of 100 sqo fto Ree<mrendation t-1r. Other Business Mr. Bruce Ryden, Ibseville Fire Marshal, rrade a presentation to the Corrmission regarding automatic sprinkler systems: for new structures over 5,000 sq. ft. After questions fran the Carmission, the following IIDtion was passed. . .Re~tion Mr. Rukavina mJVed and Mr. G. Johnson seconded, that the Carmission recarmend that the City Council adopt an ordinance arrendrrent requiring all new structures over 5,000 sq. ft. to install autorratic sprinkler systems in B-1, B-l-B, B-2, B-3 and SC zoning districts.
