<br />Ibseville Plarurlng Ccmnission Minutes <br />Wednesday, Septenber 6, 1978 <br /> <br />'Ihe Sept.enber 6, 1978, regular neeting of the Roseville Planning Comnission was <br />called to order by Chairman Vern Johnson at 7: 35 P.M. <br /> <br />M:mbers present: Mastel, SiIrons, Cushing, Dressler, Rukavina, G. Johnson and <br />V. Johnson. <br /> <br />M:mbers absent: None <br /> <br />others present: Alvin Kehr, Council liaison rrenber; Howard Dahlgren, Planner; <br />Ed ~re, Assistant City Engineer; Dave Pokorney, Administrative <br />Assistant <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Ru1mvina roved, Mrs. Cushing seconded, that tre minutes of the regular neeting <br />of August 2, 1978, be approved with the following corrections: <br /> <br />A. '!he corment regarding the prq:>osed rezoning serving as a transition zone on <br />Page 4 was nade by Mrs. Cushing, not Mrs. Dressler. <br /> <br />B. Al Kehr, Council liaison, should be added to "others present II . <br /> <br />Poll Call, Ayes: Mastel, SiIrons, Cushing, Dressler, Rukavina, V. Johnson. Nays: <br />None. Abstention: G. Johnson - absent. <br /> <br />Planning File 1134 - Ramsey Engineering Request for division of lot at 1853 West <br />County Poad C <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren stated that the applicant proposes to divide the parcel of land located <br />next to the Mack Hotel to form a new parcel which will be 80' wide and 347' deep. <br />'Ihe property would be accessed by a joint driveway and a 20' easerrent on the westerly <br />side of the lot. Mr. Dahlgren stated that rather than having a separate driveway to <br />the proposed lot, a sharing of the driveway and the use of the easerrent for access <br />appeared appropriate. The applicant proposes to use ''bunper blocks" with a five <br />inch space between the blocks to allow for drainage. Mr. Dahlgren stated it was not <br />clear as to whether or not they were confonning to the Rice Creek Watershed District's <br />drainage requirerrents. <br /> <br />Mr. lDu Ribich, Vice President Ramsey Engineering, distributed a rore detailed <br />drainage plan for the site. He indicated that trey were requesting the division <br />because with the acquisition of the large parcel adjacent to Ramsey Engineering's <br />property, the old building is no longer necessary. He stated that the green area in <br />front of the building along County Poad C is existing and will be naintained. In <br />regards to drainage, Mr. Ribich indicated that since they do not plan to alter the <br />drainage in any way, he was under the inpression that review with the Rice Creek Water <br />Shed District was not mand.ato:ry, but would review their proposal with Rice Creek if <br />the Comnission desired. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson asked if they had any plans in the future to create a second access <br />off County Road C to the two sites. <br />
