Johnson indicated that the Commission had originally intended to consider <br />and approve the Comprehensive Plan at this evening's I'Ieeting. Hcwever, it had corre <br />to the attention of the Conmission that t-here was additional tirre available before <br />the Plan must be approved. He stated that also the ~tropolitan Council is con- <br />ducting a public hearing on June 18, to consider arrendrrents to the Housing chapter <br />of the ~tropolitan Development Guide. These proposed changes could have an impact <br />on ~vhat is included in Rosevillels Comprehensive Plan. Because of this, the <br />Corrmission will not take final action until the ~tropolitan Council has decided <br />what changes will be rrade in the housing chapter. <br /> <br />Mr. Sam Cave indicated that he noted the property north of the Nid-ArtErica <br />National Bank at Fairvievl and B-2 was shewn as residential. He asked if that <br />would make it rrore difficult to achieve a business zoning sornetine in the future. <br /> <br />Hr. North indicated that it was the City Council I s position to show existing single <br />family residential as busi?1ess on the Corrprehensi ve Plan only if the property owners <br />in the area petition the Council to do so. <br /> <br />.t-1r. Cave indicated that he might pursue the possibility of a petition with the <br />residents in that area. <br /> <br />~1r. G. Johsnon indicated that he was concerned about the lack. of availability of <br />rrass transit in the area. He suggested that there should be rrore errphasis on the <br />use of rrass transit in the transportation section of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />rtJr. Dahlgren indicated that it could certainly be reviewed and discussed further <br />at the next Cormnission :rreeting. <br /> <br />Adjournrrent <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina rroved and Mr. G.
