<br />Recomrendation <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina rroVed and Mrs. Cushing seconded that the Commission recomrend <br />approval of Roseville Property's request for variance to floor area ratio, <br />nurrber of garages required and requirement of the Ordinance that prohibits <br />efficiency apartrrents at 1400 and 1410 Terrace Drive with the following <br />conditions: <br /> <br />(1) '!hat 30' of additional right of way be dedicated on Judith Avenue. <br /> <br />(2) That the applicant provide storage space for each efficiency unit. <br /> <br />Roll Call Ayes: Dressler, Rukavina, Cushing, SiIIDns and G. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1247 - Roseville Property's request for rezoning from B-I and B-3 <br />to R- 3A and variance to floor area ratio, mmber of garages <br />required and requirement of the Ordinance which prohibits <br />efficiency apartrrent at 2906 to 2930 Snelling Avenue. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that the applicant was again seeking to convert existing <br />space in the basement of the apartIrents to four efficiency apartments and I <br />one bedroom apartrrent. He indicated that the apartments were built on B-1 <br />zoned property when apartrrents were a special use in the B-I zone. That is no <br />longer pennitted and, therefore, the apa.rt:Irents are presently a legal non- <br />conforming use. He suggested it was an appropriate t.i.me to rezone the property <br />to its proper zoning, R-3A. <br /> <br />The Southerly 25' of the property is zoned B-3 because it was previously part <br />of the gas station which had been located on the property. <br /> <br />Reco:rrrrendation <br /> <br />Mrs. Dressler rroved and Mr. Rukavina seconded that the Conrnission reco:rrrrend <br />approval of Roseville Property's request for rezoning from B-I and B-3 to <br />R- 3A and variance to floor area ratio , nu.nber of garages required and require- <br />rrent of the Ordinance which prohibits efficiency apartments at 2906 and 2930 <br />Snelling Avenue with the condition that the applicant provide storage space <br />for each efficiency unit. Roll Call Ayes: Dressler, Rukavina, Cushing, SiIrons <br />and G. Johnson.
