<br />Roseville Planning Commis~ In Minutes <br />Hednesday, April 2, 1980 <br /> <br />The April 2, 1980, regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission was called to <br />order by Chairman V. Johnson at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> <br />G. Johnson, Rukavina, Simons, Cushing, Dressler and V. Johnson. <br /> <br />Members absent: <br /> <br />Mastel <br /> <br />Staff present: <br /> <br />Council liaison Al Kehr, Howard Dahlgren Associates representative <br />John Shardlow, David Drown and Steve North <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina moved and Mrs. Cushing seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of March 5, 1980, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: G. Johnson, Rukavina, Simons, Cushing <br />and Dressler. Nays: None. Abstention: V. Johnson who abstained because he was <br />absent from the meeting. <br /> <br />Planning File 1249 - Robert Nelson request for division of lot at 1890 Chatsworth <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Shardlow indicated that the applicant proposes to divide a lOLwith 184 feet of <br />frontage on the east side of Chatsworth Street. Each new lot will have 92 feet of <br />frontage. He pointed out that the lots across the street from the proposed division <br />are 75 feet in width. <br /> <br />Mr. Fred Ruesch, representing the applicant, indicated he had no additional comments. <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Simons moved and Mrs. Cushing seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Robert Nelson's request for division of lot at 1890 Chatsworth. Roll Call, Ayes: <br />G. Johnson, Rukavina, Simons, Cushing, Dressler and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1250 - Mueller-Bies Funeral Home, Inc. request for rezoning from R-l to <br />8-1, special use permit, planned unit development and vacation <br />of right-of-way at 475 Minnesota <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Shardlow indicated that the applicant proposes to convert the former Merriam Park <br />Church of God church into a funeral home. He stated that the applicant proposes to <br />rezone the property to 8-1 and is requesting a special use permit for a funeral home <br />in the 8-1 zoning district. A special use permit is also being requested for a planned <br />unit development because two principal buildings are on one site, including the church <br />building and the former parsonage. Mr. Shardlow commented that the applicant proposes <br />four changes in the site plan: <br /> <br />1. Construction of a driveway to the rear, or north end of the church. <br />2. Construction of a canopy to connect the existing canopy with the building. <br />3. Construction of ei~ht additional parking spaces. <br />4. Installation of additional landscaping on the east and north portions of the <br />property. <br />
