<br />Mr. Simons indicat~d that evening vicwin0s could produce a lot of cars and that maybe <br />there should be a provision for additional parking. <br /> <br />Mr. Lundquist indicated that the applicant would agree to a condition, that if it were <br />determined additional parking were required, that it would be provided. <br /> <br />Mrs. Dressler commented that she was still concerned about the intersection of Highway 36 <br />exit and Minnesota Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Sim~ns indicated he appreciated r1rs. Oressler's concern and suggested that the staff <br />contact the Minnesota Highway DepartMent prior to the Council hearing on this request to <br />see if they feel there are any potential problems at that location. <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson indicated that he was concerned about the potential use of the property <br />if themortuary were to discontinue operation. <br /> <br />Mrs. Cushing indicated that she didn't feel any of the permitted uses in the B-1 zone <br />would be a problem for that site. <br /> <br />Mrs. Dressler indicated that she was opposed to the application because she did not feel <br />the property should be rezoned to 8-1 anc because she was concerned about the traffic <br />situation on the exit for Highway 36. <br /> <br />Reconrnendation <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina moved and Mr. G. Johnson seconded, that the Commission recommend approval <br />of Mueller-Bies Funeral Home, Inc. request for rezoning from R-l to B-1, special use <br />permit and planned unit development at {},T' f'1innesota, \'Iith the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That if it is detennined by the Cit,y that additional parking is required, <br />the applicant shall apply for an amended s~ecial use permit for planned unit <br />development and the Planninr Commission and City Council shall conduct hearings <br />on the request. <br /> <br />2. That the use of the property be lim1ted to a funeral home. <br /> <br />3. That the width of the entrance drivc'.vay be increased to 18 feet. <br /> <br />4. That the additional riqi1t-of-way reotilred for the western portion of the <br />circle of the cul-de-sac be dedicated by the applicant. <br /> <br />And that the Commission recommend denia1 cf Mueller-Bies request for vacation of right- <br />of-way at 475 Minnesota. Roll Call, Ayes~. V. Johnson, Rukavina, Simons, Cushin~ and <br />V. Johnson. Nays: Dressler. <br /> <br />Capital Improvements Progra~ <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina moved and Mr. Simons seconded~ that the review of Roseville's Capital <br />Improvement Program be continued to the Ma,'/ 7 ~ 1980, Planning Commission meeting. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: G. Johnson~ Rukavina, Simons, Cushing, Dressler and V. Johnson. <br />Nays: None, <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina moved and Mr. G. Johnson seconded, that the meetin~ be adjourned at 8:30 <br />P.M. Roll Call, Ayes: G. Johnson, Rukavina, Simons, Cushinq~ Dressler and V. Johnson. <br />Nays: None. <br />
