Roseville Planning Commission Minutes Wednesday, June 4, 1980 The June 4, 1980 regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission was called to order by Acting Chairman G. Johnson at 7:30 P.M. Members present: Members absent: Staff present: Rukavina, Cushing, Dressler and G. Johnson Simons, Mastel and V. Johnson Council liaison Al Kehr, Howard Dahlgren, Bob Ryan, David Drown and Steve North Approval of Minutes Mr. Rukavina moved and Mrs. Cushing seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting of May 7,1980, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Rukavina, Cushing, Dressler and G. Johnson. Nays: None. Planning File 1256 - Mueller-Bies Funeral Home, Inc. request for special use permit at 475 Minnesota Presentation Mr. Dahlgren indicated that the Planning Commission at its last meeting recommended approval of an ordinance amendment which specifies funeral chapels as a special use in the R-l zoning district. The City Council has adopted that ordinance and Mueller-Bies has applied for a special use permit for a funeral chapel in the former Merrian Park Church of God building. Mr. Dahlgren indicated that the applicant has provided additional parking and landscaping on the site and that they propose to dedicate the remaining portion on the western side of the cul de sac. Discussion Mr. Rukavina asked how far the edge of the cul de sac right-of-way was from the edge of the parking lot. Mr. Dahlgren responded approximately 12 feet. Recommendation Mrs. Cushing moved and Mr. Rukavina seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of Mueller-Bies Funeral Home, Inc. request for special use permit at 475 Minnesota with the following conditions: 1. That the property be developed as proposed on plans dated January 4, 1980 and revised May 15, 1980. 2. That the additional right-of-way required for the western portion of the circle of the cul de sac be dedicated by the applicant. Roll Call, Ayes: Rukavina, Cushing, Dressler and G. Johnson. Nays: None.
