<br />-4- <br /> <br />Mrs. Cushing had further questions concerning the approval of other govern- <br />mental bodies in the area and Mr. Garrett, Mr. Molini, Mr. Lindberg and <br />Mr. Dahlgren responded satisfactorily to her inquiries stating that, in <br />general, they had not gotten approval of the Minnesota Pollution Control <br />Agency or the Rice Creek Watershed, but had discussions with them and were <br />confident that there would be no problems in this area. The applicants <br />further indicated they did not feel that they were not going to comply with <br />the regulations of other agencies as they had, in fact, hired an attorney to <br />handle these affairs. <br /> <br />Mrs. Dressler was particularly concerned about the drainage and Mr. Garrett <br />indicated that they had had discussions with the Rice Creek Watershed and <br />the provisions indicated in the drawings for ponding were at the suggestion <br />of them. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Dressler moved and Cushing seconded, that the Planning Commission recommend <br />approval of the Union Carbide request for special use permit at 2455 North <br />Cleveland Avenue with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That the gases processed and stored at the site be only as indicated <br />on a list of such gases provided by Union Carbide Corporation, dated <br />January 23, 1981. <br /> <br />2. That the City staff review and approve the final plans in regard to <br />plantings on the site. <br /> <br />3. That the Engineering Department have the opportunity to review and <br />approve the final grading and drainage plans. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Cushing, Dressler, Mastel, Simons, Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Mr. Simons moved and Mr. Mastel seconded, that the meeting be adjourned at <br />approximately 9:15 P.M.
