Roseville Planning Commission Minutes
Wednesday, May 6, 1981

The May 6, 1981, regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission was
called to order by Chairman George Johnson at 7:30 P.M.

Members present: Cushing, Dressler, Mastel, Matson, Moeller, Rukavina
and Johnson.

Members absent: None

Others present: Council liaison Al Kehr; Howard Dahlgren ,of Howard
Dahlgren Associates; Dave Drown and Jim Payne.

Approval of Minutes

Rukavina moved and Mastel seconded, that the minutes of the meeting of
March 4, 1981, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushing, Dressler, Mastel,
Matson, Moeller, Rukavina and Johnson. Nays: None.

Planning File 1302 - Donald Woebkenberg request for relocation of dwelling
from 1074 West Roselawn to 1894 North Chatsworth

Presentation

Mr. Dahlgren indicated the applicant proposes to relocate an existing dwelling
located at 1074 West Roselawn Avenue to 1894 North Chatsworth Street. He
explained the latter address is an approved division and has a lot with 74
feet of frontage. He further explained the ordinance required any relocation
be reviewed at a public hearing before the Planning Commission and Council.
This was to assure that the home being moved to the new location fit into the
existing construction in the area to prevent an aesthetic error. He further
explained that the building inspector had inspected the home to be relocated
before it is moved and finds that it meets current code requirements.
Mr. Dahlgren further indicated the applicant does not propose to redevelop
the property on Roselawn at this time; however, the property is zoned B-1 and
development of the property for one of the permitted uses in the district could
occur at some time in the future.

Discussion

The current owner of the home to be moved, Mr. Kath, indicated to the
Commission he was giving this house to his daughter and son-in-law and moving
the house to the new location because it had more room available. In response
to questions of the Planning Commission, Mr. Kath indicated he would be build-
ing a new garage on the new lot and the existing garage on the old lot would
be left for a certain period of time but eventually would be torn down.

Recommendation

Mr. Rukavina moved and Mr. Matson seconded, that the Donald Woebkenberg
request for relocation of dwelling from 1074 West Roselawn to 1894 Chatsworth
be recommended for approval by the City Council. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushing,
Dressler, Mastel, Matson, Moeller, Rukavina and Johnson. Nays: None.
