He briefly reviewed the application for
rezoning from R-1 to R-6 for the property adjacent to Fairview Avenue.

Mr. Honche11 commented that Mr. Cave has indicated the easements shown on the
plat will take care of the storm drainage for the property, however, the cal-
culations had not been provided to enable the staff to verify the drainage needs.

Discussion

Mr. Matson asked if the proposed ponding will cause any water problems for the
homes which would be located on Lots 13 and 15.

Mr. Honchel1 responded there should be no water problems for those homes because
there are technical ways to solve the potential problems.

Mr. Moeller asked if the ponding in the area would be part of Lots 13 and 15.

Mr. Honche11 responded that the pond would be located on portions of Lots 13
and 15.

Mr. John Weiss, 1776 Bruce, indicated he was opposed to the proposal as he has
expressed at the previous Commission hearings.

Recommendation

Mr. Rukavina moved and Mr. Mastel seconded, that the Commission recommend
approval of Sam Cavels request for preliminary plat, rezoning from R-1 to R-6
and special use permit at 2496 Fairview Avenue with the condition that the
drainage plan be approved by the City staff. Roll Call, Ayes: Moeller,
Rukavina, Cushing, Dressler, Mastel, Matson and Johnson. Nays: None.
