<br />Rosevi11e Planning Commission Minutes <br />Wedn es day, Octobe r 7, 1981 <br /> <br />The October 7, 1981, regular meeting of the Rosevi11e Planning Commission <br />was called to order by Chairman George Johnson at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Members present: Rukavina, Cushing, Dressler, Mastel, Matson (arrived at <br />8:00 p.m.), Moeller, and Johnson. <br /> <br />Members absent: None. <br /> <br />Others present: Council liaison A1 Kehr, Planning Consultant Howard Dahlgren, <br />Assistant City Engineer David Drown, and Assistant City Manager <br />Steve North. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina moved, and Mr. Mastel seconded, that the minutes of the September <br />2,1981 Commission meeting be approved. Roll call, Ayes: Rukavina, Cushing, <br />Dressler, Mastel, Moeller and Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File - 1341 - Super America request for variance to side and rear yard <br />setback at 1227 Larpenteur Avenue. <br /> <br />Discussi on <br /> <br />Mr. North indicated Super America had submitted a letter requesting that their <br />application be withdrawn. <br /> <br />Recommen dat i on <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina moved, Mr. Mastel seconded, that the Commission <br />of Super America's request to withdraw their application for <br />and rear yard setback at 1227 Larpenteur. Roll call, Ayes: <br />Dressler, Mastel, Moeller and Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />recommend approval <br />variance to side <br />Rukavina, Cushing, <br /> <br />Planning File - 1343 - Fairview Development Company request for special use <br />permit at 2825 and 2833 Fairview Avenue. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated there is presently a firm located in the building at 2825 <br />Fairview which is manufacturing computer chips. He stated the City Attorney had <br />provided the opinion that this proposed use could be considered as a special use <br />in the B-1 zoning district under IIResearch, Development, and Manufacture of <br />Electronic r:1edical Instrumentation Devicesll. Mr. Dahlgren suggested the <br />Commission may want to consider recommending an ordinance amendment which would <br />specifically permit the proposed use. Mr. John Daubney, Attorney representing <br />the applicant, indicated there would be no change in the outside of the building <br />of the site. He stated that a day's production of the chips can be carried <br />around by one person. Mr. Cliff Lund, representing the applicant, indicated <br />
