Roseville Planning Commission Minutes
July 7, 1982
-4-

Mr. Rukavina stated the 16 1/2' should be dedicated. However, he suggested
Mr. Margolis should get more information with regard to the cost of removing
the street lights to present the Council for their review. He didn't feel
the Commission had enough information that would necessitate changing from
16 1/2'.

Mr. Johnson indicated the improvement of the building on Dale and Larpenteur
has made a nice entrance into Roseville at that location. He felt the 16 1/2'
dedication and the additional green space would enhance the property and the
entrance into Roseville on Lexington.

Recommendation

Mr. Rukavina Moved and Mr. Matson Seconded that the Commission recommend approval
of First Bank System request for variance at 1691 Lexington Avenue with the
following conditions:

I) That 16 1/2' of additional right-of-way be dedicated for Lexington Avenue.

2) That the development be constructed in accordance with plans dated June 1, 1982.

Roll Call, Ayes: Rukavina, Dressler, Matson, Moeller, and Johnson. Nays: None.

Planning File 1375 - Lindig Manufacturing request for variance at 1875
County Road C.

Presentation

Mr. Dahlgren indicated Lindig Manufacturing presently has four spaces located
in front of their building which are not set back the required 40' from the
property line, and also two spaces in the southeast corner of the property,
which are set back the required 20'. Mr. Dahlgren stated it was possible to
replace the parking spaces by constructing a new parking area in the southwest
corner of the site. If this were done, however, it would destroy a well-
landscaped and attractive yard area. It is questionable whether the con-
struction of a new parking area in that location would be beneficial to the
appearance of the site.

Recommendation

Mr. Matson Moved and Mrs. Dressler Seconded that the Commission recommend
approval of the Lindig Manufacturing request for variance at 1875 County Road C
with the condition that the development be constructed in accordance with
plans dated April 20, 1982. Roll Call, Ayes: Rukavina, Dressler, Matson,
Moeller, and Johnson. Nays: None.

Adjournment

Mr. Rukavina Moved and Mr. Matson Seconded that the meeting be adjourned at
9:15 p.m. Roll Call, Ayes: Rukavina, Dressler, Matson, Moeller, and Johnson.
Nays: None.
