It was suggested to
the School District that this was not an appropriate location because of
the adverse impact on the single-family homes in the area due to the
additional traffic entering the parking lot from Prior.

2)

Extending the existing lot on the north side of the school,
County Road B. The School District has provided results of
that indicate this area is not suitable for a parking lot.
area would also require screening of the parking area from

adjacent to
soil tests
A lot in this
County Road B.

3) South of the school gymnasium. This location would appear to have the
least impact on the contiguous single-family home development. Access
would be from County Road B through the existing parking lot on the
north side of the school. The disadvantage of this location is that
it requires a long driveway on the east side of the gymnasium.

Mr. Paul Borg, representing School District 623, indicated the soil samples
had been taken, and the results clearly show that the soil south of the
gymnasium is more suitable for a parking lot. He commented that the proposed
location south of the gym is far more convenient for the senior citizens who
use the Fairview facility. Furthermore, it would provide the best handicapped
entrance to the building.
