<br />ROSEVILLE PLAm~ING COW1ISSION MINUTES <br /> <br />WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2, 1983 <br /> <br />The Marcil 2, 1983 regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission was <br />called to order by Chairman George Johnson at 7: 30 p. m. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Moeller, Matson, Rukavina, Dressler, and Johnson. <br />Mastel and Cushing. <br />Council Liaison Al Kehr, Howard Dahlgren, Dave Drown, <br />Steve North. <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Approval of }ftnutes <br /> <br />Matson Moved and Dressler Seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />February 9, 1983, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Moeller, Matson, Dressler, <br />and Johnson. Nays: None. Abstain: Rukavina, because he was absent from meeting. <br /> <br />PLANNING FILE 1419 - Deluxe Check Printers, Inc. request for special use permit <br />at 2199 Pascal. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated the Commission had previously recommended approval, and <br />the City Council had approved Deluxe Check Printers' request to amend the zoning <br />code by including "mail order sales and limited production" as a special use in <br />the B-1 zoning district. The amendment also included a definition of mail order <br />sales and limited production. <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren stated Deluxe Check is now requesting a special use for mail order <br />sales and limited production at its building at 2199 PascaL The Deluxe Check <br />building has 39,000 sq. ft. of ground floor area; and under the definition of <br />mail order sales, would be permitted to ship slightly under four tons per day. <br /> <br />Mr. Stephen Peterson, General Counsel of Deluxe Check, indicated they propose to <br />occupy 20,000 to 25,000 sq. ft. at the beginning, and feel that eventually, their <br />use will occupy the entire facility. He stated Deluxe Check will improve the <br />exterior appearance of the building and the landscaping. Mr. Peterson commented <br />the ordinance as approved by the City Council was satisfactory to Deluxe Check. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Rukavina Moved and Matson Seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Deluxe Check Printers, Inc. request for special use permit at 2199 Pascal. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Moeller, Matson, Rukavina, Dressler, and Johnson. Nays: None. <br />
