The applicant proposes to
construct 4 four-plexes on the site. He proposes to construct a private drive
on the public right-of-way for access to the project. Dahlgren indicated a
public street ending in a cul-de-sac on Rose Place could be useful for the
future development of the mobile home court, but the court owners do not want
to pay the public street assessments because they believe they do not need the
road at this time. At a work session, the City Council indicated a possible
solution would be a private drive on the public right-of-way as an interim
solution, and the dedication of a lOO-foot diameter cul-de-sac for the future.
This is what ~1r. Jones is proposing.

The applicant was not present at the meeting.

Discussion

Matson asked about landscaping.

Dahlgren indicated the most important landscaping 1S at the southerly end of
the parking areas, and can be easily handled.

DeBenedet asked how the City can be sure the future owners of the subject property
would agree to assessments for the public street.

Drown indicated an agreement can be entered into with the current owner, and can
be recorded to be binding on future owners.
