<br />Roseville Planning CODIoission !leetinz; <br /> <br />Wednesday, December 5, 1984 <br /> <br />The December 5, 1984 regular meeting of the Roseville Plannin~ Comoission was called <br />to order by Chair:Jan Donn t'Jiski at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Uembers Present: <br /> <br />DeBenedet, Dressler, Johnson, Matson, !~eller, Berry and Wiski <br /> <br />tleGlber's Absent: <br /> <br />rIone <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Council Liason Al Kehr, Planning Consultant Howard Dahlgren, <br />David Drown and Ron Moorse. <br /> <br />Approval of tHnutes <br /> <br />i'!atson moved, Dressler seconded that the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />November 7, 1984 be approved, with an amendment to the Roll Call vote on Planning <br />File 1554 to show Johnson's vote as a Hay, rather than an Aye. <br /> <br />TIoll Call, Ayes: DeDenedet, Dressler, Johnson, Hatson, rioeller, Derry and Hiski. <br /> <br />Nays: lIone. <br /> <br />Plannin~ File 1221 - First Grand Avenue Liquors, Inc. request for special use permit <br />and variances at 3114 Old Higln.ay 8. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Howard Dahlgren indicated the applicant proposes to expand the current structure to <br />allow a 3,000 square foot liquor store. The applicant is requestinc a special use <br />permit to allow the off-sale liquor store operation, and variances to parking <br />setbacks from 15 fect to 5 feet. He indicated the proposed nu~ber of parking spaces <br />are adequate for retail use, but would not be adequate for a restaurant use. Mr. <br />Dahlgren indicated there is a question of right-of-way dedication on County Road D, <br />and a question concerning a 20-foot easement an the east end of the property held by <br />the neiGhbor to the east. Hr. Thorne, representing First Grand Avenue Liquors <br />indicated the building will be reduced by 10 feet on the east to Dove it off of the <br />easemenl~. The applicant's architect indicated they Ylould like ta add 5 feet to tlle <br />south af the building ta replace the ten feet lost to the east. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />DeEenedet asked ~lhether the applicant had explored cOr.1bining the subject property <br />with the property to the east.
