-2-

John Bannigan, attorney representing the current owner of the property, expressed
their support for the proposal, and commented that SuperAmerica would be a
responsible menber of the cornmunity.

Bob Hartman, representing SUperAmerica, indicated they normally display items for
sale outside the store. He stated they would agree to have the outside display
prohibited. The store will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. He stated the
R-l zoned parcel contiguous to the east side of the property at the northeast corner
would be owned by SuperAmerica but would not be used. He indicated they would
landscape and maintain the R-l zoned parcel.

~,1r. Hartman stated that if directional signs were needed on the property to assist
customers as they enter or exit, they would be willing to construct them. They have
been used on other SuperAmerica sites.

Mr. Dahlgren indicated that items for sale may not be stored or displayed outside
unless they are screened.

Mr. Hartman said there would be once-a-week delivery for non-food iten~, and daily
delivery for bakery and other food-type items.

Mr. Polk said a downcast type of lighting fixture is used so that light will not
splash over to adjacent properties. He stated the mechanical equipnent will be moved
from the roof.

Bob Ryder, 1061 County Road B, indicated he and three of his neighbors like the idea
of the SuperAmerica developnent. He asked how the night noise, particularly the
microphone system, would be handled.

Mr. Hartman responded that in some locations they do not operate the intercom system
at night. He stated that if it ever presented a problem to the neighbors,
SuperAmerica would cooperate to assure that it was remedied.

Mrs. Berry suggested the use of Sugar ~~ples in the landscaping plan be reviewed
because they do not do well in this area.

Jim Miunier, attorney representing the apartment owner to the north, noted the lack
of fencing or landscaping on the north property line adjacent to the apartment
building.

l'-1r. Polk indicated the applicant would have no objection to constructing a fence or
installing landscaping on the north side of their property.

Hr. Ryder favored the developnent of a SuperArnerica store. He felt the property was
an eyesore at present.

Mr. Miunier indicated they would want to have a fence constructed along the north
property line.
