<br />-9- <br /> <br />Planning ~ 1573 - Ettinger Transfer and Leasing Corporation application for <br />special use permit at 2360 County Road C. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated this property \vas formerly occupied by the Briggs <br />Transportation Company. The Ettinger Company has purchased the property and proposes <br />to construct a 60,000 square foot warehouse addition. This addition to the property <br />requires a special use permit. <br /> <br />Mr. Jerry Richen, representing Ettinger, indicated they began operations in Rosevile <br />in 1978 with 20 employees, and now have l40 employees. <br /> <br />Hr. Tom Dunwell, representing Ettinger, indicated the 60,000 square foot addition <br />would be used as a warehouse distribution center. He stated the applicant did not <br />feel the construction of a sidewalk along County Road C made sense, since there was <br />no other sidewalk in the area. He also questioned whether it was necessary for the <br />applicant to dedicate four feet, six inches of additional right-of-way for County <br />Road C. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Drown stated the applicant could deposit money with the City to cover the cost of <br />construction of a sidewalk which \'lOuld be used in the future, when a sidewalk is <br />needed . <br /> <br />f.1r. Richen indicated their existing fence would be located in the public right-of-way <br />after the four foot, six inch dedication. <br /> <br />Mr. DeBenedet suggested the fence could remain on the right-of-way and be removed <br />when the right-of-vmy is needed. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Berry moved, Dressler seconded that Ettinger Transfer and Leasing Corporation <br />application for special use permit at 2360 County Road C be approved with the <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />1) That the development be constructed in accordance with site plan dated 1-9-85, <br />and revised 1-15, 1-21, and 1-29, 1985. <br />2) That the drainage, utility and landscaping plans be approved by staff. <br />3) That in lieu of constructing a sidewalk, the applicant shall deposit with the <br />City an aIOC>unt equal to the estimated cost of the sidewalk. <br />4) That the fence located on public right-of-way may ren~in until the right-of~.,ay <br />is needed, and then shall be removed at the owner's expense. <br />5) That an additional four feet, six inches of right-of-way be dedicated for County <br />Road C. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Matson, Moeller, Berry, DeBenedet, Dressler and Wiski. <br /> <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Berry moved, Hoeller seconded that the meeting be adjourned at 11:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Hatson, Moeller, Berry, DeBenedet, Dressler and Yliski. <br /> <br />Nays: None. <br />
