He said they would certainly do what is necessary to <br />ensure traffic safety. <br /> <br />Mr. wiski indicated he was troubled by the size of the sign, and asked <br />if the corporate policy would allow a smaller sign. <br /> <br />Mr. Grundtner stated there is a substantial amount of information on <br />the sign, and that the size is necessary for it to be visible. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson indicated Sperry was a good business in Roseville, and that <br />the signs were a necessity to help their business function. She felt <br />the Commission should devote more time to reviewing retail signs than <br />for these business directional signs. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Matson moved, Berry seconded that the Commission recommend approval of <br />Sperry Corporation's application for variance to directional sign size <br />at 2276 Highcrest, with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1) That the signs be constructed in accordance with the site <br />plan dated 1/30/85. <br /> <br />2) That the signs be approved by the staff at the time of <br />installation. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Matson, Moeller, Berry, DeBenedet, Johnson and <br />Wiski. <br /> <br />Nays: Dressler. <br /> <br />Planning File 1582 - Golden Age Nursing Home application for <br />special use permit and variance to setback <br />at 1397 County Road B. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. North indicated the Golden Age nursing home has requested withdrawal <br />of their application. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Berry moved, DeBenedet seconded that the Commission recommend approval <br />of Golden Age Nursing Home's request to withdraw their application for <br />special use permit and variance to setback at 1397 County Road B. <br />
