<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />Wednesday, April 3, 1985 <br /> <br />The April 3, 1985 regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission <br />was called to order by Chairman Wiski at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Members present: Moeller, Berry, DeBenedet, Dressler, Johnson and <br />Wiski. <br /> <br />Members absent: Matson. <br /> <br />Staff present: Council liaison June Demos, Planning Consultant Howard <br />Dahlgren, Assistant City Engineer David Drown, and <br />Assistant City Manager Steve North. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Dressler moved, DeBenedet seconded that the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of March 6, 1985 be approved. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Moeller, Berry, DeBenedet, Dressler, Johnson and <br />Wiski. <br /> <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1583 - Fairview Development Company, Inc. application <br />for rezoning from 1-1 to B-3, and special use <br />permit for off-sale liquor store at 2577 Fairview <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated the applicant proposes to rezone the easterly 226 <br />feet, adjacent to Fairview Avenue, from I-1 to B-3. The remainder of <br />the property to the west will remain zoned 1-1. <br /> <br />The proposed rezoning 1S in conformance with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />The rezoned property will include 8,000 square feet of the building, and <br />will include the existing Sony Sound Center and the proposed off-sale <br />liquor store. <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren asked the applicant what type of signing was proposed. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Burwell, who will operate the off-sale liquor store, indicated they <br />would use the lower half of the pylon sign and also have a four foot by <br />twenty-four foot sign on the front of the bUilding. <br /> <br />Mr. Moeller asked if the Suburban Auto Body sign on the property is <br />legal. <br />
