In effect,
the lot originally was split years ago, and Mr. Formo is simply
requesting reestablishment of the original lines. The proposal
is also in conformance with the minimum lot requirements.

Mr. Formo basically reiterated Mr. Dahlgren's presentation.

Greg Johnson, from the Mid Oaks Lane area, (neighbor) asked what
the minimum width is for new lots. Dahlgren replied 80 feet of
frontage, and 11,000 square feet total area. Johnson asked
about the type of eventual house that is built there, and
about the cutting down of trees. Dahlgren replied that there
are no architectural controls, but there are setback controls.
In addition, the City basically cannot regulate whether trees are
cut down on private property.

Recommendation
DeBenedet moved, Goedeke seconded, approval of the Jerome Formo
request for division of lot at 50 Mid Oaks Lane.

Roll Call, Ayes: Berry, Moeller, DeBenedet, Maschka, Johnson,
Goedeke, and Wiski.
Nays: None.

Planning File 1650
Northwestern College request for Special Use Permit and parking
variance at 3003 N. Snelling Avenue.

Presentation
Waldron explained the fact that the City had been informed, by the
Environmental Quality Board, that a petition has been presented
requesting an Environmental Assessment Work Sheet relating to this
development. Waldron pointed out that the Planning Commission
can proceed to make a decision and that it is a recommendation,
not a final decision as defined by the Environmental Quality
Board. Thus, the Planning Commission can proceed with any of its
recommendations, as originally planned, for the evening's agenda.
