Goedeke stated that he liked this particular neighborhood, and hoped that this did not start a movement toward additional triplexes. Dahlgren replied that if this were to occur, it would meet substantial opposition with the neighborhood. DeBenedet asked what the specific requirements for such a unit would be in terms of square footage. Dahlgren replied that currently the lot would be nonconforming. Therefore, to add to the triplex, a variance would be required. Berry replied that she was impressed with the stability of the neighborhood. Johnson moved, Maschka seconded, that the Esther request for rezoning from R-2 To R-4 at 2088 Fry approved. Logerquist Street be Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Maschka, Goedeke, Moeller, Berry, DeBenedet and Wiski. Nays: None. Planning File 1688 Curtis Brown request for division of lot at 1754 Alta Vista Drive. The applicant was not present for the meeting. Waldron pointed out that this particular applicant, although having received proper notice, had only met with the staff for one meeting and may not have fully understood that he was required to be present at the meeting. It was Waldron's suggestion that this particular item be continued to the October meeting. Johnson moved, Moeller seconded, that the Curtis Brown request for division of lot at 1754 Alta Vista Drive be continued until the October 1 Planning Commission meeting. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Maschka, Goedeke, Moeller, Berry, DeBenedet and Wiski. Nays: None. Other Business Discussion of Joint Meeting Waldron pointed out that the target area study is still being completed by Public Financial Systems and, therefore, it will probably be another month before Public Financial Systems would be prepared to make a presentation. Waldron stated it would be appropriate if the Planning Commission and City Council used a Joint Meeting for presentation and discussion of the report. Adjournment There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
