Roseville Planning Commission Minutes
April 1, 1987

Page 7

Dahlgren stated that in view of the fact that meetings with the
property owners are still in progress, the zones should not be
considered specifically at this point in time.

Pat Johnson asked as to whether Dahlgren could still meet the
City's basic time frame. Dahlgren replied that he was confident
that he could, and thus the zones should be tabled until next
month.

Cushman stated that the Council had hoped that this item could be
addressed at the Planning Commission meeting that evening.

Dahlgren stated that it was his opinion that the landowners
should be present and be included in the whole process.

Goedeke again asked whether Dahlgren could meet the time line.
Dahlgren replied that he could.

Mayor Wi ski stated that the Council had already created potential
language for the new districts. He pointed out that a number of
different approaches to zoning do exist. The text change could
occur before the zones were actually applied. He reiterated that
the Council needs the Commission's review and input with respect
to zoning modifications in the 35W area.

DeBenedet moved, Berry seconded, that formulation of the new
zoning districts, B-5, B-6, and B-7, be tabled until the May 6
Planning Commission meeting.

Roll Call, Ayes: Stokes, DeBenedet, Goedeke, Moeller, Berry,
Maschka, and Johnson.
Nays: None.

Mr. Dahlgren proceeded to inform the Planning Commission that it
would useful if a Comprehensive Map were developed for the 35W
area that could be utilized by him and landowners during discus-
sion of the potential zones.

Cushman pointed out that the City Council originally defined the
scope of Mr. Dahlgren's work which did not include the map. Thus
the map would have to be authorized by the Council as an addi-
tional work element.

Adjournment
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:15
p.m.
