Dunwell indicated that they would provide a catch basin <br />on the site, and adjust the grading so that everything drains to <br />that point. Dunwell indicated that they would restrict the <br />opening to control the flow from the site into the catch basin, <br />and that the parking lot would store the water for a short period <br />of time. Dunwell indicated that they believed that they had <br />addressed the concerns expressed by the neighborhood during the <br />neighborhood meeting. Dunwell indicated that the spaces adjacent <br />to the driving aisle would be maintained and posted for 15 minute <br />parking only. They would be used for drop off and pick up for <br />the day care in the building. Dunwell indicated that he didn't <br />believe they could reconfigure the parking lot to get back these <br />eight spaces. Dunwell indicated that the number of parking <br />stalls that back up into the driving isle had been reduced from <br />24 to 8. <br /> <br />Maschka questioned whether parallel parking could be used at that <br />location. Dunwell indicated that parallel parking is not good, <br />that this was an internal drive lane and that to his knowledge <br />there had not been any accidents in that area. <br /> <br />Goedeke inquired whether or not the parking lot would be lighted. <br />Dunwell responded that they are not proposing to add additional <br />lighting, that existing lights are adequate. <br /> <br />Berry indicated that she was concerned about the location of <br />handicapped park ing stalls. Kingsber ry responded that they are <br />looking closely at the location of handicap stalls and that to <br />meet code, they have to be provided as close as possible to curb <br />cuts. Berry indicated that accessibility to the pool by <br />ambulatory people is her concern, and inquired if two more spaces <br />could be provided. Kingsberry indicated that she checks these <br />spaces daily, and if the law allows them to relocate these spaces <br />they would do it. <br /> <br />Berry indicated asked if two additional spaces could be added. <br />Berry indicated that she has heard of people going to the back <br />door, and couldn't get into the pool. More handicapped spaces are <br />needed in the front. Kingsberry indicated that Berry should send <br />the names of the people who are having these problems to her so <br />that special arrangements can be made. <br /> <br />DeBenedet inquired if the screening could be located west of the <br />drive instead of east. Dunwell responded that it's better to <br />have the berm closer to the lights so the screening is more <br />effective. He indicated that there is a considerable grade <br />change west of the driveway. DeBenedet indicated that he was <br />concerned about lights on the access dr ive. Dunwell ind ica ted <br />that because of the grade change and existing landscaping, lights <br />generally weren't a problems, but there were some gaps were light <br />could get through.
