<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />page# 6 <br /> <br />Wednesday, March 2, 1988 <br /> <br />Berry inquired about the location of crash receptacles. Dufresne <br />responded that they would be located inside the building. <br /> <br />Mike Ryan indicated that his family has operated the County Side <br />restaurant at 2851 Snelling Avenue since 1956, and that their <br />are serious traffic problems present at C-2 and Snelling. He <br />told the commission that he was not against the development but <br />was concerned abou~ the traffic problems that were being <br />created. Johnson pointed out that meetings to plan the area are <br />occurring in the whole corridor and that traffic issues are being <br />addressed. Dahlgren pointed out that the city, county, and state <br />are working to alleviate problems in the area by relocating the <br />frontage road, providing a traffic signal at C-2 and Snelling, <br />and by providing a median break at Snelling and Terrace Drive <br />Janisch stated that the negotiations with the state are close to <br />being complete for the signal at C-2 and Snelling. <br /> <br />Ryan asked how the water pumping station would be affected by the <br />extension of Lincoln Drive to County Road C-2. Janisch responded <br />that it would not be affected Ryan pointed out that the <br />extension of Lincoln Drive would result in the elimination of a <br />number of oak trees. <br /> <br />Johnson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Berry moved, Goedeke seconded to recommend that the comprehensive <br />plan be amended to show the area south of Terrace Drive as <br />business rather than industrial. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Berry, Goedeke, Stokes, Moeller, Johnson <br />None <br /> <br />Berry moved Goedeke seconded that the planning commission <br />recommend that the approval of the rezoning of the parcel south <br />of Terrace Drive from I-I to B-4. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Berry, Goedeke, Stokes, Moeller, Johnson <br />None <br /> <br />Berry moved, Goedeke seconded that the planning commission <br />recommend approval of the special use permit and plat with the <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />1 That additional landscaping be provided in the parking <br />lot. <br /> <br />2. That brick be provided on the exterior on all sides of <br />the building. <br /> <br />3. That interior trash storage be provided. <br />
