ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

page# 3

Wednesday, April 6, 1988

Murlowski further indicated that the fence would come down when
the relocation occurs.

Johnson questioned what assurance does the city have that the
permanent move will occur, and if there are any firm agreements
at this time. Murlowski replied that there was no assurance
other than that they have been working hard and would not have
pursued it this far if they weren't serious about proceeding with
the permanent solution. He further indicated that they had no
final agreements yet, only a preliminary agreement with Budget.

Goedeke inquired what facilities were on the site for the
maintenance acti vi ties. Strom responded that they are renting
two bays in the existing building on a site which has the
necessary facilities.

Moeller inquired about whether the fence was needed at all.
Strom pointed out that they are open to anything, but would
prefer the fence for security reasons.

Moeller asked about whether the maintenance activities were an
illegal use on the site. Dahlgren answered the vehicle
maintenance was a permitted principle use on the site, but that
any rental use would require a special use permit.

DeBenedet inquired what the temporary office trailer would look
like. Strom responded that it would be a standard office trailer
which would be skirted, painted and he believed it would have a
pitched roof and wood siding.

Goedeke asked what signage would be present on the site. Strom
responded that there would be no pole signs, but he was not sure
whether there was any need for a temporary sign of any kind.

Goedeke asked the
with the condition
provided. Strom
request.

applicant whether or not they had a problem
that the fence be moved back and a grass strip
replied that he had no problem with this

Dahlgren clarified the sign requirements.

Waldron asked the applicant if tax increment financing was to be
a part of this deal. Murlowski repl ied that it was. Waldron
pointed that the city and Belair would need to reach an agreement
on the use of tax increment financing, and that final approval by
the City Council would be necessary.
