None Stokes, Ayes: Planninq File 1827 Budget-Rent-A-Car request for a special use permit for temporary automobile and truck rental use at 2500 West County Road C. Presentation Dahlgren summarized the location of the site. Dahlgren suggested that a temporary facility such as this is unusual, and that he had concerns about approving a temporary solution without assurance that a permanent solution on the Cleanco site on County Road C-2 and Partridge Road would occur. Dahlgren added that if this request were approved, possible conditions might be that a special use permit be limited to one year, and that the fence be moved back 20 feet from the property line and grass planted within that 20 feet. Mark Murlowski summarized the status of the permanent solution on the Cleanco site, and indicated that they need to pre-lease 90 to 100% of the space before financing is approved. He further informed the commission that they are attempting to find these leases, and to work with the city for some tax assistance. Murlowski pointed out that the temporary budget facility is necessary because of the time delays in putting together the permanent solution at C-2 and Partridge. Johnson inquired as to what kind of vehicles would be leased on the site. Peter Strom from Budget Rent-A-Truck indicated that there would be 35% autos and 65% trucks which would include vans, pickups, and straight trucks. Johnson said that there were trucks on the site already. Strom responded that this was a storage only, and that no rental was occurring on the site. Berry questioned whether storage on the site was a legitimate use. Dahlgren responded that storage is permitted as an accessory use to a principle use only, and that no principle use existed on the site. Strom responded that the trucks are there to be serviced and that there were trucks stored on the site previously.
