<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Paget <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Wednesday, August 3, 1988 <br /> <br />suggested that a condition should be considered to allow staff to <br />review the final sign design. <br /> <br />Rosemary Gruenwald stated that the sign would be 4 ft. x 8 ft. <br />wood with vinyl lettering. Gruenwald stated that the sign colors <br />would be brown and white. <br /> <br />Maschka asked if the applicant had any problems with providing <br />low landscaping around the sign. Gruenwald responded that she <br />had no problem with providing landscaping around the sign. <br /> <br />Berry asked about the sign height. Gruenwald replied that the <br />sign would be mounted on two six foot poles, and the bottom of <br />the sign would be two feet off of the ground. <br /> <br />Moeller asked if the sign would be lighted. Gruenwald responded <br />that the sign would not be lighted. <br /> <br />DeBenedet inquired if the applicant would provide a properly <br />marked handicapped stall in the lot. Gruenwald said that they <br />would provide a properly marked handicapped stall <br /> <br />Johnson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />DeBenedet moved, Maschka seconded that the planning commission <br />recommend approval of the variance of the setback of a free <br />standing sign subject to the following conditions. <br /> <br />1. That the sign be located no closer than 15 ft. to any street <br />right-of-way line. <br /> <br />2. That the sign be no higher than 6 feet. <br /> <br />3. That the size of the sign not exceed 32 sq. ft. <br /> <br />4. That landscaping around the base of the sign be installed <br />subject to staff approval. <br /> <br />5. That no other ground signs be installed on the site. <br /> <br />6.
