ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION Paget 2 Wednesday, August 3, 1988 suggested that a condition should be considered to allow staff to review the final sign design. Rosemary Gruenwald stated that the sign would be 4 ft. x 8 ft. wood with vinyl lettering. Gruenwald stated that the sign colors would be brown and white. Maschka asked if the applicant had any problems with providing low landscaping around the sign. Gruenwald responded that she had no problem with providing landscaping around the sign. Berry asked about the sign height. Gruenwald replied that the sign would be mounted on two six foot poles, and the bottom of the sign would be two feet off of the ground. Moeller asked if the sign would be lighted. Gruenwald responded that the sign would not be lighted. DeBenedet inquired if the applicant would provide a properly marked handicapped stall in the lot. Gruenwald said that they would provide a properly marked handicapped stall Johnson closed the public hearing. DeBenedet moved, Maschka seconded that the planning commission recommend approval of the variance of the setback of a free standing sign subject to the following conditions. 1. That the sign be located no closer than 15 ft. to any street right-of-way line. 2. That the sign be no higher than 6 feet. 3. That the size of the sign not exceed 32 sq. ft. 4. That landscaping around the base of the sign be installed subject to staff approval. 5. That no other ground signs be installed on the site. 6.
