Dahlgren stated
his concern about the narrow space being provided between the
building and the entrance at the southeast corner of the site as
well as concerns about the parking orientation.

Keel summarized drainage concerns.

Jim Dahlberg, KKE Architects, summarized the proposed project.

Johnson inquired about the pylon sign design. Dahlberg pointed
out that there would be two signs on Fairview which would contain
the names of the anchor tenants at the center.

Johnson inquired about the amount of parking being provided on
the site. Dahlgren summarized the parking calculation pointing
out that in his view, the parking is adequate as proposed but
there could be problems at peak times of the year and if usage in
the center changes in the future.

Johnson pointed out the concern that if
successful, there could parking problems in the
responded that there would be a problem only at
year.

a restaurant is
center. Dahlberg
peak times of the

Johnson
color.
similar
uniform

inquired if the signs on the building would be a uniform
Alan Brown from Tanurb stated that the signage would be
to that at Loehmann's Plaza and there would not be
in color.

Maschka asked what the color of the metal roof would be.
Dahlberg responded that it would be of green tones.

Moeller asked what the height of the parapet wall would be and
stated his concern that the roof top units may be visible from
the north. Dahlberg responded that the roof units would be
screened and would be located toward the south of the building so
there should not be visible from the north.

Moeller asked what the design of the trash enclosures was.
Dahlberg responded that they would be enclosed but not roofed.
Moeller stated his opinion that because the back of the building
would be visible from surrounding uses that the trash should be
stored totally inside.

Johnson informed the Commission that she had recently observed
the trash enclosures at Loehmann's being wide open and that she
would not support a similar situation on this site.
