<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Wednesday, July 5, 1989 <br /> <br />July 5, 1989 regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission <br />was called to order by Chairperson Pat Johnson at 7:32 P.M. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Maschka, DeBenedet, Wietecki, Berry, Goedeke, <br />Stokes, Johnson <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Sarkozy, Dahlgren, Keel, Jopke, Nisja <br /> <br />Council Present: <br /> <br />Kehr (liaison), Cushman, Rog, Johnson <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Berry moved and Goedeke seconded to approve the minutes of the <br />June 7, 1989 Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Maschka, Berry, Goedeke, Stokes, Johnson <br /> <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Abstain: DeBenedet, wietecki <br /> <br />Planninq File 1975 <br /> <br />Minnesota Solvents and Chemicals corporation request for a <br />special use permit at 2340 Rose Place. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Dahlgren summarized the site location and the current proposal. <br /> <br />Keel outlined the current regulations concerning spills and spill <br />containment. Keel pointed out that the current Minnesota <br />Pollution Control Agency regulations are pretty lax and that <br />there are no specific regulations in this area in the City code. <br />Keel added that the MPCA is currently considering more stringent <br />regulations and if those are enacted, Minnesota Solvents will <br />have to comply with them in the future. Keel also stated that <br />the Planning Commission has the power to put reasonable <br />conditions on the approval of this special use permit which could <br />include conditions relating to spill containment. <br />
